Join us to learn everything from start to bread in this immersive beginner’s guide to sourdough workshop with Meghann from Fiddler’s Farm!

This workshop is designed for those who have little to no experience with sourdough, but all are welcome no matter where you are in your sourdough journey.

Participants will receive a wealth of information regarding sourdough – From origins and history, to starter and fermentation, and finally – BAKING! (…and everything else in between).  
Each participant will spend the workshop making their very own dough to take home and bake, and will also receive dehydrated sourdough starter, and recipe to continue the sourdough journey at home!

Each participant receives a mini sourdough loaf to take home and enjoy!**

We will have a nice snack spread of fruits, sourdough bread, butter, and jam available to graze during the workshop.  Water & Coffee will be provided – If you’d like to BYO beverages or alcohol please feel free!

Workshop includes:

  • Background/History/Benefits of Sourdough, as well as the difference between wild yeast v. traditional yeast.
  • Sourdough terminology guide
  • All ingredients and tools needed to make your own loaf of bread during the workshop – You will go home with your dough in a stainless steel mixing bowl that will be provided.
  • Entire Bread making process… Mixing ingredients, Stretch & fold/coil tutorial, shaping and scoring tutorial (all hands on)
  • Sourdough bread recipe 
  • Sourdough Starter and information about how to rehydrate & maintain your starter
  • Each participant will go home with a mini loaf of sourdough bread to enjoy.
  • Light morning snack spread of fresh fruits, sourdough bread, butter, and jams…as well as Coffee & Water.
  • BYO Beverages (Yes, Alcoholic bevs are allowed, and we have glasses).

*Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable if cancelled less than 7 days prior to the event.  If you need to cancel, there will be a 15% refund processing fee that will be deducted from your ticket purchase refund.  If cancelling 6 days or less prior to event, tickets are non-refundable.  

If an insufficient amount of people register for the event, The Meat Shoppe & Fiddler’s Farm reserve the right to cancel the event and give ticket refund.  If inclement weather occurs or serious illness/injury to the event coordinators, The Meat Shoppe reserves the decision to carry the event or cancel; If the event is cancelled due to weather or illness/injury the option for refund (less $2.25 processing fee), or rescheduling will be provided.
